Unlike Formplus, Google Forms does not have the offline form feature.
If respondents lose internet access when filling your survey at any point, they cannot make a submission.
Formplus supports offline data collection.
This means that people can fill and submit your form, even when they do not have access to the internet.
So, you can collect responses from participants in remote areas where there's poor internet connectivity.
If someone fills and submits your surveys and questionnaires in offline mode, their submission will be uploaded to the Formplus database immediately after internet access is restored.
If you’re sending out agreements and reports with your online form builder, chances are you’d need to collect digital signatures from respondents.
Google Forms doesn’t have an e-signature field, and users create workarounds like collecting initials in text fields in the place of digital signatures.
While this might suffice for simple documents, it is not binding for complex documentation like contracts.
Once you add the Formplus e-signature field to your forms, you can receive digital signatures from respondents directly.
Drag and drop the signature field from the builder’s inputs section into the form work-area.
When you receive new signature submissions, they will be saved as images in your preferred external storage or the Formplus servers, and you can download them at any time.
Whether you’re creating a form for the first time or you’ve been at it for a while, online templates can save you lots of time. Formplus and Google Forms have pre-built forms you can choose from depending on your industry and the use cases.
Google Forms has a limited template library with basic themes and customization.
These samples are organized into three categories—education, personal, and work. You wouldn't find forms for more complex use cases like consent forms and authorizations.
On Formplus, you'd find more than 1,000 templates, cutting across several types, use cases, and industries.
Each template is customized and ready-to-use; you can add them to the builder with a single button.
Google Forms doesn't have the QR code sharing feature.
So, you need to copy the form link and share this with respondents or add it to your website.
If the link gets broken or missing at any point, respondents will not be able to access your surveys and questionnaires.
Apart from sharing your form link with respondents, Formplus allows you to automatically generate a QR code and share it with your audience.
You can add the QR code to your website or even print it out and share it with them. This eliminates the risk of broken or missing links.
Sharing your form link on social media with beautiful images can improve engagement and responses from your online community.
While Google Forms has social media icons for direct form sharing, it doesn't support the image card feature. This means you cannot generate images for your form links automatically. You'd find Facebook, Google Plus, and Twitter icons at the top right of the "Send" pop-up box. Click on one of these buttons to share your Google Form with your preferred audiences.
Formplus automatically generates image cards for every form link you share using the social media direct buttons.
This way, you can improve form responses and gather more data from surveys and questionnaires.
Sometimes, form respondents cannot complete your survey or questionnaire at a go; they need to save it for a later time.
The save and resume option improves the quality of data collected through your form.
Unlike Google Forms, Formplus supports a "save and resume" functionality which allows participants to save a partially completed form for some other time.
Instead of throwing in random answers, participants can slowly work their way through each question and provide valuable responses.
Google Forms includes 12 field types: 9 question types, along with text, photo, and video fields.
To add any of these fields, click the + icon in the right sidebar and type in your questions. You can also add images and other file types to the form.
On your Formplus dashboard, you'd find more than 30 advanced and straightforward form fields with multiple use cases.
Apart from the primary fields, you'd find several advanced options like the date-time field, digital signature field, and calculation field.
These options give you better control over collecting and processing data. For example, you can carry out simple mathematical processes using calculation fields.
Formplus supports multiple payment gateways:
You can receive payments from more countries right in your form.
When it comes to building forms, Google Forms is a great place to start from. However, if you’re looking for more advanced data collection features, then Formplus is your best bet. Ready to get started? Try out Formplus for free today.
